Early Learning Matters

Offering Free and Tuition-Based Pre-K Options for Families Who Qualify

Research shows that providing a high-quality education for children before they turn five years old yields great medium- and long-term benefits for students.

In Clear Creek ISD early childhood education develops a lifelong love of learning and sets the foundation for the necessary cognitive, social, emotional and physical development essential for future success.

ReadyRosie: Preparing for a Strong Start

There are many things parents and guardians can do in the months and even years leading up to the first day in Pre-K.

YOU are your child's first teacher, so Clear Creek ISD is pleased to provide parents with a FREE subscription to ReadyRosie. ReadyRosie is an online resource that emails daily activities to adults to do with their children ages 0-5. Each activity is modeled with a two-minute video.

If your child is enrolled in pre-K in Clear Creek ISD, your child's teacher will e-mail you an invitation to subscribe. However, any parent living within the Clear Creek ISD attendance boundaries can register for ReadyRosie.

Restart Kindergarten

The Texas Legislature has given parents new rights to make this decision for the upcoming school year. The decision as to whether your child needs to repeat kindergarten or pre-kindergarten in the upcoming school year is your decision to make as a parent.

If, during the previous school year, your kindergarten or pre-kindergarten-age child:

  • Did not attend
  • Missed many days because of the disrupted school year
  • Attended but struggled

You may want to consider whether he or she should restart this upcoming school year.
